Gosford workshop: The basics of consumer involvement in health and medical research: who, what, when and how?
NSW Regional Health Partners is running a series of training opportunities for researchers looking to work with consumers.
This workshop will be co-facilitated by our Consumer Engagement Officer Jessie Sutherland, and Consumer Advisory Committee Chair, Brigitte Sigl. The program has been specifically developed for researchers who want to build their understanding and skills to engage consumers in their research.
This two-hour in-person only practical workshop will cover the basics of involving consumers in research, including:
- Who are consumers in research?
- What is consumer involvement and why is it important?
- How and when to involve consumers in research projects and programs?
- Practical tips for getting started!
Our goal is for you to leave this workshop feeling confident and supported to embark on your next consumer involvement activity.
This training is suitable for all health and medical researchers working in any field from discovery to implementation!
