The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) identifies exemplars of collaboration in health and medical research, research translation, research-infused education and training, and outstanding health care in a regional and/or remote setting with accreditation as a Centre for Innovation in Regional Health (CIRH). This recognition is designed to encourage leadership in health research and translation of direct relevance and benefit to regional and remote areas of Australia

NSW Regional Health Partners is grateful for the NHMRC’s acknowledgement of the high quality, innovative and collaborative health and medical research efforts being undertaken across our region.

NSW Regional Health Partners acknowledges the NSW Office for Health and Medical Research (OHMR). OHMR has formally recognised the collaborative work being done across our region through its designation as a Translational Research Hub since 2014.

NSW Health has supported the research hubs to foster translation, innovation and research capacity. This support developed the foundations which allowed our Translational Research Hub to successfully apply to become a Centre for Innovation in Regional Health.
